SCOTUS Decision on ObamaCare Disappointing, Threatens American Way of Life

If our Founding Fathers had wanted a Big Government, they would have started with one.  Instead, they set up a system of enumerated powers that limits the federal government to those roles clearly defined in the U.S. Constitution.  Those powers not defined were reserved for the people and the states.

I am extremely disappointed the U.S. Supreme Court sided with Obama and the liberal Big Government politicians in Washington today. This unconscionable ruling shifts that balance of power dramatically, and it’s not in favor of individual freedom.

As a physician, I can tell you that ObamaCare is a threat to our quality of health care. It takes ownership of health care decisions away from patients and doctors and puts it in the hands of government bureaucrats. That’s unacceptable.

America now faces a federal government way too comfortable encroaching on our liberty and we must do everything we can to protect it.

I have been a strong advocate for limited government and conservative family values and as your state senator, I will fight for our sovereignty and stand up against Washington D.C. power grabs.  I will explore every possible avenue to slow down and halt the encroachment of ObamaCare on our freedoms.

The U.S. Supreme Court has spoken, but they have erred before. Now it’s up to us to elect true conservative leaders who will overturn this abomination and restore principles of limited and constitutional government at both the state and federal level.
