SAN ANTONIO — State Senator Donna Campbell earned another key endorsement in her bid for reelection in Senate District 25. Young Conservatives of Texas gave the sitting senator high marks for her conservative voting record and endorsed her campaign.
“I am honored to receive recognition from YCT for standing up for conservative values. I will continue to fight to protect taxpayers, curb the growth of government, and ensure our families have a strong voice to defend our faith and freedom,” Senator Campbell said.
Senator Campbell was recognized earlier this year as one of the Top Five Courageous Conservatives by the Texas Conservative Coalition for her work as a freshman in the 83rd Legislature. She has also received endorsements from Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC, Texas Home School Coalition PAC, and Concerned Women for America.
State senators are usually elected for four-year terms, but Sen. Campbell drew a two-year straw when senators held a post-redistricting drawing earlier this year. She faces two opponents in the Republican primary, which is scheduled for March 4, 2014.
