Senator Campbell Helps Bring Army Futures Command to Central Texas

AUSTIN – As Chair of the Veteran Affairs and Border Security Committee, Senator Donna Campbell played an instrumental role in writing letters to help persuade the U.S. Army Futures Command to select Central Texas for their new command center.

“Austin’s selection is an historic announcement for Austin and Texas, as the U.S. Army prepares to lead us into the new frontier in defense and military modernization. Along with fellow committee member and Austin Senator Dawn Buckingham, I was proud to submit multiple letters advocating for this move and the jobs it will bring to our state. Texas is the most military and veteran friendly state in the nation. The Army could not have picked a better location.”
