SAN ANTONIO — Senator Donna Campbell, Chairwoman of the Senate Veteran Affairs and Military Installations Committee, visited the National Veterans Outreach Program (NVOP) Residential Center for Veterans on Tuesday, August 23rd. She toured the facility with NVOP President and CEO, Carlos Martinez, and other leaders of the organization.
“Veterans have our backs when they serve to defend our freedoms and we should have theirs when they return home,” Senator Campbell stated. “Unfortunately, all too often, service members can have a difficult time readjusting to civilian life after their military careers. The National Veterans Outreach Program (NVOP) has been operating for over a decade to help San Antonio veterans find housing and employment opportunities. I am excited to tour the Residential Center for Veterans facility and see the great work they’ve been doing to honor our veterans and assist their families.”
