Our commitment

Friends of Donna Campbell wants every Texan, including people with disabilities, to be able to read about Dr. Campbell's record, find voting information, volunteer and get in touch. We work to make this website accessible and to improve it over time.

Standard we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the widely used standard for accessible websites. We believe most of the site meets that standard, and we fix problems as we find them.

What we've built in

  • A "Skip to content" link and a consistent page structure with headings and landmarks.
  • Navigation, forms and buttons that can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Form fields with visible labels, and messages that announce whether a submission succeeded.
  • Color combinations chosen for readable contrast.
  • Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets and zoomed-in text.
  • Respect for your device's "reduce motion" setting.

Known limitations

  • Content from other companies. Social media feeds, the donation form (provided by Anedot) and the district map (provided by Mapbox) come from outside services, and we can't fully control their accessibility. Every social feed has a direct link to the same profile, and you can contact us for help making a contribution or finding your district.
  • Spam check. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. It usually runs invisibly; if it ever stops you from submitting a form, please email us instead.
