Dr. Campbell does not approach the pro-life cause as an abstraction. She spent more than thirty years in emergency rooms and operating suites, delivering babies, treating complications, and holding the hands of families in their most vulnerable hours. That clinical experience gives her a moral clarity that few legislators possess. She has seen life begin on the monitor, heard the first heartbeat through a stethoscope, and she carries that reverence into every vote she casts on the Senate floor.

Her legislative record speaks for itself: joint author of the Texas Heartbeat Act that banned abortions after a detectable heartbeat, joint author of the Senate version of the Human Life Protection Act (SB 391), a vote for the House version (HB 1280) that became the trigger law ending elective abortion in Texas once Roe v. Wade fell, and a supporter of state funding for the programs — now Thriving Texas Families — that provide support to expectant mothers across the state. Dr. Campbell has been honored by the Texas Alliance for Life across multiple sessions for her defense of the unborn. In a Capitol full of politicians who talk about values, the doctor from New Braunfels has built a substantial pro-life record over seven regular sessions.
